TRA-MINW is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible fellowship-trained or experienced breast radiologist to join our team of dedicated breast imagers.
Our team provides world-class breast imaging with a total of 23 Hologic tomosynthesis units. Screening is performed at 15 sites with a spoke and hub arrangement referring patients to six breast imaging clinics staffed by radiologists. The breast imaging clinics offer diagnostic imaging and procedures using all modalities including stereotactic, Affirm, ultrasound and MRI biopsies as well as wire localizations. Our flagship facility, covered by four breast imagers and an ARNP daily, is the Carol Milgard Breast Center. Breast imagers are also a critical component of four multidisciplinary tumor board meetings held weekly, where we have developed strong working relationships with the local pathologists, surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, and plastic surgeons.
TRA-MINW is a progressive, private practice group of approximately 90 radiologists including all subspecialties centered in Tacoma, WA and covering ten hospitals and two healthcare systems in the south Puget Sound region. Since 1943, TRA-MINW has combined leading-edge technology with the highest expertise and quality in medical imaging services. We interpret more than 850,000 exams annually. Our group owns or partners in six outpatient imaging centers including our Carol Milgard Breast center, which is managed in partnership with both CHI Franciscan Health and Multicare Health Systems. The practice footprint enables radiologists to select a lifestyle consistent with their personal tastes, allowing the radiologist to choose between urban and rural living with several communities of different sizes in the area.
TRA-MINW offers a competitive starting salary, flexible and equitable vacation scheduling and partnership opportunity. We also offer mentoring and CME reimbursement for pre-partners interested in developing leadership skills. This dynamic and expanding general practice is nestled within a strong community of primary care and specialty referring practices. Well known for its natural beauty, the Puget Sound region offers a great quality of life with vibrant arts, recreational and dining opportunities.
