Biopsy
Lymph Node Biopsy
A lymph node biopsy may be performed under ultrasound, fluoroscopy
or CT guidance to look for suspected Hodgkin's disease (lymphoma)
or evaluate for the spread of cancer from its primary location to
the lymphatic system. Lymph node biopsy may also be used to evaluate
the effectiveness of treatment. Patients can generally tolerate
lymph node biopsy with a local anesthetic. Complications from this
procedure are rare.
