Nuc Med Technologist, On Call
TRA Medical Imaging is seeking a per diem nuclear medicine technologist. We are a multi-modality outpatient center offering Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, CT, MRI, US, Mammography, Digital X-ray, and DEXA. The NM department is equipped with a Philips Forte and performs a broad spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
The nuclear medicine technologist position, under the direction of the physician, has the following responsibilities: preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals; performance of diagnostic procedures using a duel head gamma camera; operation of data analysis and display software; operation and quality control of all instrumentation; execution of radiation protection strategies; provide assistance to schedulers; perform various clerical functions as needed; and, as the patient's primary contact within the department, assure his or her safety, privacy, and comfort.Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program and five years of recent work experience as a registered technologist in the field of nuclear medicine is required. Philips FORTE experience is desirable. Additional requirements: Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT-N).
