Pediatric Radiologist

TRA-MINW is seeking a board certified/board eligible CAQ certified or eligible Pediatric Radiologist to join our 6 member section for a two-year to partnership track position. We interpret a wide range of pediatric studies including cardiac MRI and CT for congenital heart disease, neuroimaging, nuclear medicine studies as well as oncology and trauma exams.  

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is a level II Pediatric Trauma center. There is also a 56 bed NICU and Intermediate Care Nursery as well as a PICU with ECMO capability. Our pediatric radiologists on average read 50% pediatric cases so expertise in general radiology will be advantageous including general, obstetric and vascular ultrasound, fetal MRI, and typical emergent exams. Interventional procedures are performed by the separate IR section though expertise in or a willingness to learn arthrography and HSG for general coverage will be useful. 

Referring subspecialists include community based pediatricians and family practice physicians, hospital based pediatricians, NICU, PICU, pediatric surgeons,orthopedic surgeons, oncologists, ED physicians, and CAID (Child Advocacy Intervention Department) as well as pediatric gastroenterology, urology, complex care specialists, and pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery. It is a unique blend of community based and pediatric subspecialty work.

TRA-MINW is a progressive, private practice of approximately 90 sub-specialists in and around the Puget Sound, centered in Tacoma and extending from Seattle to Olympia. We own 9 outpatient imaging centers. We also provide professional services for all 11 hospitals within our territory, specifically St. Joseph Medical Center, Tacoma General Hospital, Allenmore Hospital, and Mary Bridge Pediatric Hospital in Tacoma, Highline Medical Center in Burien, St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw, Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup as well as St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Oregon. We are also partners with the Carol Milgard Breast Center and Union Avenue Open MRI in Tacoma and we have reading contracts for several multi-specialty medical groups and non-hospital based medical providers.

The practice reads cases from a common work list shared among approximately 40 reading sites with a diverse and stimulating case load. We emphasize excellent clinical practice, collegial teamwork, close working relationships with our outpatient and hospital-based clinical partners, and a quality lifestyle.
