All patients paying in full on the day of service with a personal check, cash, VISA or MasterCard are offered a 30% reduction in total charges. When this discount is provided, it is important to understand that TRA will not bill any insurance company or attorney on the patient's behalf. Patients who are not part of any insurance plan or governmental program who feel they may qualify for financial assistance may be considered for further discount on a case by case basis. In such circumstances, appropriate financial history may require verification.
Payment Plan Policy for MRI, CT, PET and Nuclear Medicine Examinations (except CT Health Screening)*
At the time of services, all MRI, CT, PET and Nuclear Medicine patients without insurance and / or governmental health plan coverage are required to make a 20% payment of the total charges estimated that day. Patients (or patient representatives) are also required to sign a payment plan instituting monthly payments based on TRA's established payment schedule. Patients not able to present the required deposit amount at the time of service may have their examination re-scheduled.
All accounts left unpaid for three months or 90 days will be forwarded to a collection agency. Note, TRA statements reflect messages to this effect so patients / representatives have sufficient warning before the account is actually turned over to the collection agency.
